O Gyro se preocupa com os impactos sociais decorrentes de produtos e organizações. Como decorrência, o Gyro colabora para o desenvolvimento de modelos e a verificação de meios para aplicar a Avaliação Social do Ciclo de Vida (ACV-S).
O Gyro 4 People desenvolve projetos focados na avaliação de impactos sociais (positivos e negativos) relacionados ao ciclo de vida de produtos e serviços, abrangendo assim desde a extração de recursos até a disposição final.
Nesse sentido, já foram desenvolvidos projetos e modelos voltados à avaliação do desempenho social de produtos. Os resultados foram aplicados em cosméticos e novas matérias-primas, em parceria com organizações dos setores privado e público em conjunto com outras técnicas reconhecidas internacionalmente, bem como bases de dados de ACV Social focadas na análise de Risco Social .
O Gyro 4 People também foi responsável pela organização do IV Workshop em ACV-S, realizado em Curitiba/ PR em 2018, além dos membros da equipe serem participantes ativos do Grupo de Trabalho em ACV Social (GTACV-S).
